Are you in a cult? Do you worship the devil? Are you in a sorority?

I can’t even count how many times I’ve been asked these questions and more. I consider it quite disrespectful. If you don’t know, then ask or be quiet. No I’m not in a cult, and I don’t think anyone who worships the devil cares about their community and welfare of others, and no, I’m not in a sorority but many of my Sistars and Brothers are active members of the divine 9 sororities and fraternities as well. This is a FAQ I pulled off of an OES chapter site, that you could very well look up as well. See if it’s online, it’s not a secret, it’s meant for you to see, as well as information on sorority and fraternity websites. Whatever is open to you, is meant for you to be able to look up. I.E. research for yourself. In my opinion, why would you want to be apart of something you have absolutely no clue about. For my organization, The Order of The Eastern Star, to be one is to ask one. However, in order to be one, you must be related to a master mason. If your mother is one, then obviously, you have masonic affiliation.

All I have to say is ignorance is no excuse. No one will know you’re ignorant if you are simply quiet. Any organization that you don’t have the rights and privileges to have secrets kept within their organization and ways of identifying their members. When you’re “charged”, someone is testing you to make sure you’re not a perpetrator, if you are indeed a member, you will be able to answer the “charges” appropriately. Just be respectful to all organizations and you won’t have any problems.
